The attic bedroom in Brads home was always cold and uncomfortable.   He called Home Environment Solutions to schedule a free energy audit for his Richmond, Ohio home.   

When Russ arrived and saw the knee walls in the attic bedroom he immediately knew they were causing the problem.   The attic needed a thermal barrier.    

The HES team arrived and installed SilverGlo panels  and air sealed the attic.   They also added spray foam to the rim joist to prevent air transfer.  

Eric contacted us because his Cape Cod–style home had high energy bills and drafty rooms that made it hard to stay comfortable. He also wanted better access to the attic for storage and maintenance and needed insulation improvements in key areas like the cathedral ceiling, knee walls, and ductwork.

Our team sealed and insulated the attic, installed an insulated scuttle cover, and upgraded insulation in the cathedral ceiling and knee wall areas. We also encapsulated the ductwork to reduce air loss and improved attic access so the space could be used more safely and effectively.

Now, Eric’s home is more energy efficient, draft issues are reduced, and the attic space is easier to access and maintain. These upgrades will help keep the home comfortable while lowering heating and cooling costs year-round.

Becky needed help insulating her home in Leetonia, Ohio.   She called Home Environment Solutions for a free in home evaluation.  The insulation in her home was over 40 years old and needed replaced with a more efficient system.   

The Home Environment Solutions team arrived and began air sealing the attic assembly.  The next upgrade to Becky's home was to install SilverGlo on the attic walls forming a barrier to stop heat loss.   Finally a thick layer of cellulous was blown into the attic.   

David reached out because his two-story home had cold floors, high energy bills, and uncomfortable temperature swings upstairs. On top of that, there was rodent contamination in the attic that needed to be properly cleaned and sanitized. He also wanted better attic access for storage and future maintenance.

Our team completed a full attic cleanup and sanitation to remove rodent droppings, then sealed and insulated the attic to stop air and heat loss. We insulated the scuttle cover, sealed top plates, addressed open soffit areas, and upgraded insulation levels to improve comfort upstairs.

Insulated the attic wall with Silverglo, insulated the skylights and air sealed, insulated and sealed the attic scuttle cover, sealed all pipe and wire runs with Zypfoam and used blown in Trusoft cellulose on the attic floor.
