Edward called Home Environment Solutions about his townhouse in McMurray being uncomfortable in the upstairs. Russ arrived at his home for a free energy audit and found old, loose insulation and an uninsulated scuttle cover that lets air escape from the home.

The HES team arrived removed and disposed of all the old insulation. They also air sealed and insulated scuttle cover, upgraded ceiling over shower area all with SilverGlo foam boards and Zypfoam expandable foam. Insulated attic with Trusoft Cellulose.

It is always warm in the summer and cold in the winter.  We sent one of our experts out to take a look at the growth and to perform a free home energy audit.  Russ found microbial growth in the insulation. While performing the energy audit he found old batt insulation and numerous unsealed pipe runs and wire runs that allow air to escape.

Our mold team arrived, built a containment barrier to prevent contaminating the rest of the home . They removed all old insulation batts and discarded. Air Scubber in attic and used surface and substrate cleaner for removal of organic contamination where needed.

The insulation team air sealed and insulated the scuttle cover with SilverGlo, airsealed all penetrations interior and exterior with Zypfoam and applied Trusoft cellulose to the attic floor.
