Jake reached out because his two-story home was uncomfortable year-round. Floors felt cold, energy bills were high, and the upstairs never seemed to stay comfortable. The biggest issue was a home addition that was extremely hot in the summer and cold in the winter, making it hard to use, consistently.
After evaluating the home, our team focused on tightening up the attic and addressing major air and heat loss points. We sealed the attic, tightened top plates and penetrations, upgraded insulation levels, and built proper insulation dams to keep materials in place. We also insulated and air sealed the attic access, sealed recessed lighting leaks, and wrapped the chimney area for safety and efficiency.
These upgrades helped balance temperatures throughout the home; especially in the addition. Jake now enjoys lower energy costs, fewer drafts, and a much more comfortable living space in every season.
Chris and Laura reached out because their single-story home had cold floors, drafty rooms, and uncomfortable temperature swings, especially with cathedral ceilings. On top of that, rodent droppings in the attic needed to be addressed to protect indoor air quality.
Our team started by disinfecting and sanitizing the attic, safely removing rodent contamination to restore a clean environment. Once the attic was properly treated, we focused on strengthening the home’s thermal boundary. We sealed attic air leaks, dense-packed insulation where needed, upgraded insulation levels, sealed top plates and chimney areas, installed insulation dams, and insulated the attic access opening. We also improved attic storage and access so the space is easier and safer to use moving forward.
Now, the home is cleaner, more energy efficient, and noticeably more comfortable. Drafts are reduced, floors feel warmer, cathedral ceiling areas perform better, and the attic is sanitized and properly sealed.
Raun reached out because his two-story home had cold floors, drafty rooms, and noticeable temperature differences upstairs. Energy bills were also higher than expected, and comfort just wasn’t consistent from floor to floor.
After completing a home energy audit, our team focused on stopping air and heat loss where it mattered most. We sealed and insulated the attic access, sealed top plates and attic penetrations, and encapsulated the duct system to prevent energy loss through the HVAC system. By tightening up both the attic and ductwork, we helped keep conditioned air inside the living space.
Now, Raun’s home has more consistent temperatures upstairs, fewer drafts, and reduced energy loss – leading to improved comfort and lower energy bills.
Home owners Donald and Ginny had comfort issues in their home. The told Mark that they had already insulated their attic the year before and they thought the needed insulation in their walls. Mark did a full inspection of their home and attic and discovered that the insulation has been incorrectly installed in their attic which caused a severe moisture problem and resulted in attic mold.
Our Certified Mold Remediators came and removed the attic mold and all of the improperly installed insulation. Following the remediation crew leader Mike Y and his team properly air sealed the entire attic and insulated to R60 with TruSoft Cellulose insulation.
The end result was a healthy home that is much more comfortable and efficient and very happy home owners.
Out with the old and in with the new! Our production team removed the old fiberglass insulation and air sealed the Washington PA attic. Air sealing is as important as the insulation. Last they blew in 17" of TrueSoft Cellulose insulation.
