Arthur from Oakdale Pa called Home Environment Solutions stating that he is never comfortable in his home. He says it stays colder in the winter and warmer in the summer. We sent Russ out to perform a free home energy audit to determine what is needed to make his home more comfortable.  Russ found old fiberglass batt insulation, uninsulated and sealed scuttle cover and many other penetrations that let air escape.

 Remove And Dispose Of Existing Insulation. Attic is prepared for installation of fresh, clean insulation.  Our team air sealed and insulated Scuttle Cover, sealed chimney chase with metal flashing, fire caulk and wrapped with rock wool sleeve. Air sealed with Zypfoam all penetrations.  Installed SilverGlo™ on wall and between floor joists as needed and they wrapped skylights in 2" SilverGlo to air seal and insulate. They also applied Trusoft cellulose to the attic floor.

Jordan from Oakdale called Home Environment Solutions wanting to know if we could help him reduce his energy costs.  We scheduled an appointment with one of our experts to come to her home and preform a free home energy audit.  When our expert arrived he found many issues leading to Jordan's high energy bills. Old batt insulation, unsealed/non-insulated scuttle cover and numerous unsealed penetrations.

Our team arrived and removed all the old batt insulation and prepared the attic for the new insulation. They air sealed and insulated the scuttle cover with silverglo, installed Silverglo on wall and between floor joist, air sealed all penetrations and installed Trusoft Cellulose on the attic floor. Encapsulated Duct System In Attic With Polyurethane Spray Foam. 

This homeowner was cold in the winter and hot in the summer. He had a couple dozen recessed lighting fixtures and in adequate insulation. We Air sealed his attic and upgraded his insulation to R60. We also built him an air sealed and insulated storage deck. The end result was a much more comfortable house and lower utility bills.

We sent our insulation team out and they removed all the old insulation and disposed of it. Installed Silverglo along attic deck, installed titeshell over top of can lights and sealed with zipfoam. They also sealed and insulated scuttle cover, air sealed all penetrations interior and exterior and installed Trusoft cellulose.
