The attic bedroom in Brads home was always cold and uncomfortable.   He called Home Environment Solutions to schedule a free energy audit for his Richmond, Ohio home.   

When Russ arrived and saw the knee walls in the attic bedroom he immediately knew they were causing the problem.   The attic needed a thermal barrier.    

The HES team arrived and installed SilverGlo panels  and air sealed the attic.   They also added spray foam to the rim joist to prevent air transfer.  

Eric contacted us because his Cape Cod–style home had high energy bills and drafty rooms that made it hard to stay comfortable. He also wanted better access to the attic for storage and maintenance and needed insulation improvements in key areas like the cathedral ceiling, knee walls, and ductwork.

Our team sealed and insulated the attic, installed an insulated scuttle cover, and upgraded insulation in the cathedral ceiling and knee wall areas. We also encapsulated the ductwork to reduce air loss and improved attic access so the space could be used more safely and effectively.

Now, Eric’s home is more energy efficient, draft issues are reduced, and the attic space is easier to access and maintain. These upgrades will help keep the home comfortable while lowering heating and cooling costs year-round.

The Home Environment Solutions team arrived and began air sealing the attic assembly.  The next upgrade to Becky's home was to install SilverGlo on the attic walls forming a barrier to stop heat loss.   Finally a thick layer of cellulous was blown into the attic.   

Kim reached out after dealing with musty odors, visible mold, and ongoing moisture issues in her home. The basement and crawlspace were damp, unhealthy, and not usable, and mold-damaged materials were affecting overall air quality. She wanted the problem fixed correctly, not just covered up.

Our team removed mold-damaged materials, completed full mold remediation, and sanitized the affected areas. We then encapsulated the crawlspace to block ground moisture and installed a Sani-Dry basement air system to control humidity and keep the space dry moving forward.

Now, Kim’s home is cleaner, healthier, and free of musty odors. The crawlspace is protected, the basement air is dry, and the home has long-term moisture control and peace of mind.
