Homeowner Maryann has had an ongoing moisture issue in her basement with high humidity. Even after repeted attempts and water proofing after heavy rains one wall would remain damp for days.
Maryann was referred to Home Environment Solutions by a neighbor who used them to remove the mold in her crawl space and insulate and encapsulate afterwards. She explained that the neighbor was so pleased with the work she knew that was the right company to do the job.
Mark came out to inspect the basement and develop a plan. It was decided to install CleanSpace on the wall along with a Sedona Dehumidification system.
The production crew including Zach, Brandon and Cameron showed up to install the job. After one day everything was complete.
The end result was the problem was eliminated and the wall was much more aesthetically pleasing. Maryann was extremely pleased with her basement and reduced moisture.

Local Business in Newell, WV had a major floor. The Home Environment Solutions team was able to restore and clean up the damages
Gary, in New Cumberland, WV (26047), reached out after noticing visible mold and a strong musty odor coming from the basement. Like many homeowners, the concern wasn’t just the appearance of the mold, it was how it could affect the air throughout the home.
When we evaluated the basement, we found microbial growth along with moisture-related conditions that were allowing mold and contaminants to thrive.
Our team started by thoroughly cleaning and pressure washing the affected basement surfaces using EPA-rated disinfectant solutions designed specifically for mold remediation. We cleaned structural surfaces including masonry walls, floors, and framing materials to remove visible contamination and surface buildup.
Once the cleaning process was complete, we dried the structure using professional dehumidifiers and air movers to bring humidity levels under control. Air scrubbers were also used during the process to capture airborne mold spores, dust, and allergens.
Because mold and contaminants can circulate through the HVAC system, we also performed a complete HVAC and duct cleaning to NADCA standards. Supply ducts, returns, trunk lines, vents, grills, and evaporator coils were cleaned and sanitized to improve overall indoor air quality throughout the home.
By addressing both the basement environment and the HVAC system, we helped eliminate the source of the musty odor and restore cleaner air throughout the house.
Now the basement is clean and dry, the air smells fresher, and the entire home has a healthier indoor environment.
