Tina C. a Jewett, Ohio homeowner had some serious structural problems with their home resulting from a wet vented crawl space. The crawl space was damp and cold and was causing mold to form on their floor joist and main supporting beam. The main supporting beam was rotting and sagging causing the house to sink. The home upstairs had cracks and damage in the plaster from the house sinking below. There was evidence of moisture loving pests including termites, carpenter ants and even a raccoon caucus.
Certified Mold Inspector and Energy Specialist Mark O designed a solution to keep the crawl space clean, dry and mold free.
Foreman Larry S. removed the two rotting main supporting beams and replaced them. Foreman Mike Y. and his team installed a CleanSpace crawl space system, a SaniDry dehumidifier and an EverLast crawl space door.
The owner is thrilled to have a dry mold free crawl space that he knows he will not have to worry about and warm floors above. As an added bonus the crawl space can now be used as storage!
St. Clairsville OH, home inspector Chuck C. has been refering customers to Home Environment Solutions for years now. He finally decided it was time to have his own crawl space encapsulated. Being a home inspector Chuck knows first hand just how important it is to properly maintain and insulate crawl spaces. During the winter months when hot air leaves through the top of your house, that air is replaced with air drawn in from the bottom. So if you have a dirty, moldy, stinky crawl space its going to effect the air you breath in your home.
Our certified and trained production team encapsulated Chucks crawl space using SilverGlo insulation board on the brick wall. And covering everything with a CleanSpace liner.
Mold Remediation (Removal)
Rebecca needed help with the crawlspace in her Moundsville, WV home. She found evidence of mold and was having trouble keeping the temperature in the rooms above the crawlspace comfortable. Rebecca began looking online to find out how to deal with the problems. She found the Home Environment Solutions website and the answers to all of her questions.
Rebecca met with Russell Jenkins and explained her concerns. Russ examined the crawlspace and drew up a free estimate for Rebecca. They sat down together and Russ walked her through the process. The Mold would need remediated, the loose falling insulation would need replaced and the crawlspace would need encapsulated. The crawlspace was also air sealed with closed cell spray foam and an insulated vent cover.
