Father Jim called us to improve the energy efficiency of an almost 100 year old Church.

Certified Comfort and Energy Specialist Mark O. designed several solutions to improve the energy efficiency and extend the life of the HVAC systems.

Foreman Mike Y. and his team air sealed the attic and properly insulated with cellulose insulation to R60 for optimum results. All six HVAC systems were thoroughly cleaned and all of the ductwork was spray foamed to insulate and prevent the conditioned air from being lost in the attic.

The end result was a more efficient building.  

Eric from Mingo Junction Oh  called saying he has mold in his crawl space and would also like to know how he can make rooms above crawlspace more comfortable. Russel went out to inspect for microbial growth and to perform a free energy audit. When he arrived he found old molded batt insulation, wire and plumbing runs unsealed and an uninsulated door to the crawl space.

Our mold Team arrived and prepared the space for treatment. They removed and disposed of all old insulation, used a surface and substrate cleaner for the removal of organic contamination and ran HEPA vac. Our insulation team then installed cleanspace encapsulation system with drainage matting, terrablock floor insulation and silverglo. Last installed a Dr Energy saver insulated door to access the crawl space.

This Toronto, OH customer had heating and cooling ducts in his Attic.  In the summer time temperatures in the attic would reach well over a 100 degrees, making his air conditioner work extra to keep the house cool.  Using spray foam we added several inches of insulation to his ducts.  Increasing the amount of insulation on your ducts in the attic will extend the life of your air conditioner and lower your energy cost but more importantly keep you cool in the summer! 

The crawl space above was underneath an over 100 year old Victorian home.  When Home Environment Solutions first entered the home it wasn't safe for children or adults.  The mold spore count in this homes air was at dangerous levels.  As air leaks out of the attic it is replaced with air that enters through the basement, this is known as the stack effect.  This means that the majority of air in this persons home was coming from their crawl space.  This is why its so important to have your crawl space encapsulated.

Shannon from Girard, OH called saying she can not maintain a comfortable temperature in her family room and kitchen year round. We sent our expert Russ out to do a free Home Energy Audit. Russ found old loose insulation and unsealed pipes, electrical and scuttle cover.

Our insulation team went out removed all old insulation and disposed of it. Insulated scuttle cover with SilverGlo and air sealed. Sealed chimney chase with metal flashing, fire caulk and rock wool sleeve. Installed Silverglo on walls and between floor joists as needed. Wrapped skylights with 2" SilverGlo to air seal and insulate. Sealed all accessible penetrations(pipe runs, wire runs, top plates(interior and exterior))  with Zypfoam. Installed blow in Trusoft cellulose.
