Daniel form Cranberry Township, PA was worried about the mud and water forming around his home after storms. He did research and found that his downspouts were just pouring water at the base of the house and not directing it away from his foundation at all. Homeowner Jason from Cranberry, PA had sagging gutters. His coworker told him about Gutter Shutter by Home Environment Solutions having the Gutter Shutter system and to give them a call. Jason called customer specialist, Christie to set up his free evaluation and estimate. We sent out our consultant, Russ, to see what was going on. Russ showed Jason that, due to his gutters clogging, the water was pooling and causing his current gutters to sag. Ann has a newer home with fiberglass insulation that was done to code.  Her attic is used for storage.  The upstairs of her home was significantly warmer in the summer causing her central air conditioning to run constantly.  The heating bills were high in the winter. Being a realtor herself, Ann was referred to Home Environment Solutions by another realtor.

Mark and Russ went to her home and took the time to listen to her concerns and issues.  Asking a lot of questions, the consensus was Ann needed to remove the ineffective fiberglass insulation and proceed with the proposal that Mark and Russ provided to her while they were there.

The production team (Zach, Cameron and Brandon) arrived at Ann’s home and explained what they were going to do each day. They prepared the home with protective coverings and got to work. 

All of the original fiberglass insulation was removed and put in the box truck to be discarded.  The attic was air sealed, new energy star ventilation baffles were installed and a cathedral ceiling wall was dense packed with TruSoft Cellulose insulation and covered over with SilverGlo insulation board.  The team built an air sealed and insulated SuperPlatform storage deck over the area the home owner wanted to use for storage.  The attic was blown in with TruSoft Cellulose insulation to R60.   Finally the attic scuttle hole was insulated with SilverGlo insulation board and air sealed with weather stripping.

Ann has reported that there has been a dramatic difference in the comfort of her home.  The upstairs is now the same temperature as the main floor in the summer.   Her air conditioning only runs occasionally and her cost of heating and cooling has dropped considerably.  Ann said “Mark and his team did a superior job with our attic insulation!
