Homeowner Noah wanted to make his home more comfortable year-round and reduce high energy bills. Our inspection showed that much of the home’s heat loss was occurring through the attic due to air leaks and insufficient insulation.To address these issues, our crew sealed air and heat leakage through the kitchen soffit with an airtight cap and Zypfoam and prepared the metal chimney for insulation. We then installed a layer of 4” SilverGlo insulation across the attic deck and covered it with ⅜” board to create a continuous thermal barrier. TruSoft Cellulose insulation was then blown-in the vertical dams.These improvements help reduce heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer, resulting in a more energy-efficient home with consistent temperatures throughout the year. The homeowner can now expect lower utility bills and greater comfort in every season.
