Dirty Fiberglass Insulation
This picture shows filthy fiberglass insulation before being removed by Home Environment Solutions. Fiberglass insulation can act like an air filter allowing air to flow through filtering out all the dirt. We remove all the dirty fiberglass insulation.
Dirty Fiberglass Bats
This attics gable ends were insulated with fiberglass bats. The dirty look of the fiberglass is a good indication of air penetration. At Home Environment solutions we remove the old and air seal before replacing with new TrueSoft Cellulose Insulation.
Not Enough Insulation
You can see that the customers existing insulation wasn't even up to the top of his ceiling joist. These are 2x8 ceiling joist so this particular customer has less than 7" of insulation in his attic. Building codes for attic insulation R-values are out dated. Meeting the building code just isn't adequate.
SilverGlo Wall Insulation
After removing the old fiberglass bats and air-sealing, SilverGlo Insulation Board was used to insulate this home owners gable ends. SilverGlo comes in different thickness and has a higher R-Value than standard foam boards. It is infused with graphite which slows the heat transfer, giving it a greater R-value.
Finished Attic with TrueSoft Cellulose Insulation
After removing the old dirty fiberglass insulation and air-sealing, Home Environment Solutions blew in 17" of TrueSoft Cellulose Insulation. Doesn't it look warm and cozy! Another super job done by Home Environment Solutions "Creating Healthy, Comfortable, Efficient Homes".
