In addition to the mold concerns, the upstairs of the home experienced hot and cold temperature swings, making it uncomfortable throughout the year. Our team addressed the problem at the source. We performed professional mold remediation in the attic, disinfecting and treating the affected areas. Contaminated materials were properly removed, and the attic was thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. While completing the remediation, we also upgraded the attic system to improve performance. We sealed and insulated the attic, encapsulated the duct system to reduce energy loss, dense-packed insulation where needed, installed insulation dams, sealed top plates, and improved attic access by installing a new pull-down ladder. These improvements also created better attic storage and safer access for future use. With the mold eliminated and the attic properly sealed and insulated, Angelo’s home now smells clean, the upstairs temperatures are more stable, and overall energy performance has improved.
